I was very surprised and appreciated the technology as well as the technology application ability of Vietnamese enterprises.

However, the climate conditions in Russia and Vietnam are not the same, so in order to adapt in Russia, this billion-dollar project will have to meet some technological adjustments.

We are trying hard to make TH Group’s cooperation in Russia good and TH’s technologies will be well used in Russia.

Sir, in the context that Russia is facing sanctions from the West, is it very timely for Vietnamese enterprises in food and agricultural products to invest in Russia at this time?

-Russia is the second largest import market in the world, mainly imported from Europe, so when there are sanctions we are more or less influential. However, Russia has trade relations with many countries around the world, of which Vietnam is one of the potential markets. In addition, Russia has a policy of strengthening the development of agriculture, autonomy in production, and gradually ensuring food and food security; take advantage of available land, climate and technical advantages to produce essential products and limit dependence on imported sources.

Is the TH Group project a breakthrough to pave the way for other Vietnamese agricultural projects to Russia?

-We can hope this is a breakthrough of Vietnam-Russia agricultural cooperation. TH Group is a large corporation and we see huge growth. The results of this project will be a great motivation for other projects. It can be added that, in addition to the high-quality milk production process, I am very impressed with the TH Group’s clean agriculture process, such as growing vegetables, tubers and fruits using clean technology. Sir, not only TH Group, currently the biggest barrier of Vietnamese businesses when investing in Russia is the tax issue. What incentives will Moscow authorities have to facilitate investment wave of Vietnamese enterprises?

– The provincial government of Moscow has preferential policies to attract foreign investment including leasing premises and creating tax incentives.
